The Road to Salvation

In a miraculous way, salvation starts with God calling us.

Jesus, as He is being hounded by the religious authorities of the day stated : John 10:25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” (ESV).

They refuse to believe Him, stiff hearted as they are. And these are the religious leaders of the day! But the greater miracle is: God already knows who are His and the greatest truth is: “My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” and that Jesus and the Father “are one”.

If you hear God’s voice today, if you’re being nudge by a feeling, a thought and just a deep yearning desire to raise up your hands and call out “LORD Jesus Christ save me” then Hallelujah, today is the day that the LORD has called you.

Do you have a deep conviction that there is more to this life? Do you constantly feel “wrong” even when it’s “right”? That is the human condition. It’s not that we’re inherently bad or evil… I mean, theologically, yes we are but until you mature in the faith to that point, at the moment you may just feel that there is more. You feel you need something which is more just mere knowledge. You have a deep conviction in the heart of the Almighty. That is when you know in the spirit that you’re being called by God to come to Him.

How do you “come to Him”? ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.’ Revelation 3:20-21. The LORD Himself is the One calling you. It’s not accident, it’s no coincidence.

And why Jesus? ‘Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”’John 14:6-7. Come and confess Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour!

A prayer: Our Father in heaven, thank you for your a loving God. Your Son Jesus Christ gave His life for me. LORD, today I want to open my heart to you and invite you into my life. And I know LORD, that this opening is your knocking on the door, that you’re standing right outside waiting for my response. So Father, today I want to humbly submit myself to you. Teach me your ways and give me the wisdom, wisdom from above that as your WORD say; The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. I want to that Godly fear: to hate sin and to despise evil. I repent of my sins and want to live in newness of life. I pray that all the former things that afflict me will no longer have any hold on me LORD, today, start my journey with you to be yoked with your Son to the end of my life. Holy Spirit of God, be my comforter and counsellor as the LORD promised. Lead me every step of the way. I also pray to find fellowship in the house and people of God. Lead me, O LORD, to a great church where the Gospel is preached and the LORD is glorified. May be a part of this fantastic family and may I humbly learn from those who went before me and be a great teacher to those who will come after me. Teach me your words today, O LORD, as I search for you in Scripture and in prayer. In Jesus name I pray, amen!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

God bless you on this new life! Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
